Designed by and for farmers, OpenCompass is a diagnostic tool for agricultural practices, developed to meet real needs in the field.
Through a digital platform, it provides a transparent link between the agricultural practices implemented and their actual environmental impacts.
Regardless of the farming model adopted (conventional, organic, in conversion, regenerative, etc.), OpenCompass aims to support the transition toward resilient agriculture and to highlight farmers’ efforts with value chains, cooperatives, and the agri-food industry.
OpenCompass supports continuous improvement by identifying levers at the farm level to guide farmers and directly connect practice changes to impact improvements.

The OpenCompass tool enables farmers to:
•Objectively measure the impact of their practices using quantified indicators
•Identify levers for improvement to support their transition
•Strengthen the resilience of their farms against climate, economic, and regulatory risks
•Increase the value of their practices based on real effects on ecosystems, helping secure income by making their efforts more visible

The OpenCompass tool enables the agri-food industry to:
•Access reliable, verifiable field data (primary data)
•Integrate results into environmental (ESG) reporting
•Better understand the transition pathways of agricultural suppliers
•Build more sustainable, credible, and market-recognized supply chains

News:

OpenCompass ensures that increasing the resilience of farming systems goes hand-in-hand with reducing environmental impacts.
The platform calculates the overall impact of practices through life cycle assessments. These impacts cover ecosystems, human health, water, climate change, and the management of natural resources.
