The Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse National Park, created in 2023, is one of the first two national parks in Wallonia. Its teams and partners watch over 22,000 hectares of nature, spread over 3 geological regions: the Ardennes, the Fagne and the Calestienne. The area includes 17,000 hectares of forests, calcareous grasslands of high biological value and authentic hedged farmland. The National Park's emblematic projects include the protection of 1,700 ha of integral forest reserves, the creation of a sheep herd of several hundred animals and renaturation initiatives in the Eau Blanche and Eau Noire valleys.
