As a private, humanitarian organisation, Luxembourg Air Rescue (LAR) is the sole guarantor of air rescue in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
Founded in 1988 as a non-profit association, LAR has around 182,000 members and currently operates seven rescue helicopters, two Airbus H145 D3s and five MD902s.
For 26 years, LAR has been carrying out repatriations and intensive care transports worldwide using its own fleet of air ambulances, including three Learjet 45XRs and a Challenger 605, ensuring that sick or injured patients are transported quickly and safely to their country of residence.
With a staff of 190, LAR is committed to its mission of saving lives and preserving the health of people in distress, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in Luxembourg, the Greater Region and around the world. This is achieved by applying the highest standards of safety and quality in the fields of medicine, technology and air operations.

Membership fees start at 76€ per person per year for single membership and 129€ per family per year for family membership.
