Spouted pouches are increasingly popular as the alternative for glass bottles and PET-bottles. In comparison to his alternative, they are easier to transport and suitable for retail shelves. Empty spouted pouches don’t use a lot storage space. Glass jars use around 70% more raw material so there is a lower environmental impact for the pouches.
Spouted pouches are as user-friendly as the conventual bottles. They are re-closable and can be equipped with special spouts and caps. At EPOCA we have spouts engineered for spill control, convenience and/or child safety.

Vacuum bags are generally used to extend the shelf life of the product and keep it fresh for longer. Most often they are used for storing food (especially frozen foods) such as fish, but they are also sometimes used in the medical and non-food industries to prevent corrosion, degradation or oxidation of their contents.
The bags are similar to triple seal bags and are designed to vacuum seal the contents. The difference between these bags is the number of layers of plastic. The layers have been specially chosen to provide protection against moisture and punctures.

Flat bottom pouches are pouches with the completely flat bottom. They are also known as box pouches. These kinds of pouches are the plastic alternative for folded cartons or corrugated boxes. Unlike a folded carton, flexible bags have smaller footprint and keep product fresh longer. The plastic itself can be equipped with a barrier against e.g. odor, oxygen and/or vapor – no inner bag needed. Due to the flat bottom, these pouches can hold more weight in compare to the bottom gusset pouches. Our flat bottom flexible box bags use up to 15% less film than a standard stand up pouch, but can hold more volume.

Bottom gusset pouches are the most popular stand-up pouches. It is the most environmental friendly and cost-effective containers available on the market. It can be used for food and non-food applications. These pouches can be filled manually or with the help of packaging lines.

BIB are pouches that are sealed at the four sides of the bag.
The filling of the bags is done via a spout welded on the front of the bag.
The most well-known application is the wine cask fitted with a tap and inserted into a cardboard.
This kind of bags are mainly used for packing a wide range of (semi-)liquid products such as wine and fruit juices but also for collection blood in abattoirs.
